Girl, Interrupted

“Have you ever confused a dream with life? Or stolen something when you have the cash? Have you ever been blue? Or thought your train was moving while sitting still? Maybe I was just crazy. Maybe it was the ’60’s. Or maybe I was just a girl… interrupted.”

With our fast pacing and ever changing lives, have you ever felt that you are missing out on some of the wonderful things happening around you? I have. Everyday, life offers us a platter of experiences and emotions with places, with people, that eventually tend to become a part of us.

But we tend to oversee these experiences because we are busy trying so hard to prove ourselves, trying to fit in. Why do we try so hard to bring out the best version of ourselves? Can we not just embrace all these good and bad relationships and introspect on what impacts these relationships have had on us. Can we just believe in ourselves and trust that we are doing our best right now.

Okay, I really didn’t mean to make this a philosophical post, but with such perfect spring Delhi mornings, I tend to indulge into self romanticism and introspection. I am a bit of a dreamer that way..Todays post is more like an impromptu one than my otherwise planned blogs. I have a long love affair with prints and dyes, mostly favouring floral prints. Hence, since the advent of spring, I can’t wait to take out my floral dresses. This year, the devil is in the details, with fringed and floral embroideries on blouses, extra-long cuffs and a slightly tapered leg on jeans. My dress is flirty with frills on the shoulder and is sprigged with charming springtime buds. Overall the effect is effortless and easy. As usual I have accessories at the minimal and grounded the look with hunter boots. No other bag could’ve done justice to the outfit apart from my red suitcase sling.

I hope you all enjoy the look, because it was fun creating the pictures. You guys know, that I love hearing from you! So, don’t hesitate to drop a line on the comments section below! I would see you guys soon ~ till then, good luck and love.
