Hi angels, happy February to all of you. January had been a cold month in Delhi, but I’m totally crushing on the ensuing spring. I had planned this post few weeks earlier, but couldn’t cement it because of my travel plans. I’ve had a really busy first month of the year. Nonetheless, as the wedding season continues, I thought, there’s still time to put this look up on the blog. We all have witnessed the hubbub of weddings this season. One can evidently see the numerous different clothing and jewellery trends doing the rounds right now, and I personally tend to feel a little lost sometimes. Each wedding has a different vibe and style to them, yet spotting one particular trend can be a little difficult.
Today’s post roots back to when I had worn this tailored anarkali at a friend’s family wedding in January. The Anarkali goes back to 2014, when my sister got married and we designed it for her post wedding functions.
Orange can be a tough colour to wear. Citrus looks way better on deeper skin tones, but since I am making a conscious effort to do more of what scares me – and that includes dressing outside the comfort zone – I thought I would give it a go. If you’re planning on following my lead and taking a risk by wearing a colour you are maybe a little unsure about, be sure to add different pieces or accessories that make you feel confident, throughout the outfit. That would help you boost your confidence in that particular outfit. The highlight component in this outfit is the tailored shaded net dupatta, with heavy Gota borders. Matching jhumkas and a pair of mojaries were all I needed to finish the simple wedding look. Hope you guys enjoy the pictures. Don’t forget to drop a line if you like the post. I’ll see you soon with yet another story! Till then, bests!
