Hi my angels, how are you all doing? Back to work again..eh? Sometimes I wonder, why do all good things have to end so soon? Nevertheless, today’s post is about one of the most rotation worthy and comfortable piece of clothing everybody should own. The Midi Skirt. I’m typically ‘pear shaped’ and more comfortable in flared skirts and dresses than bodycon or pencil styles.
Midi Skirts are a Summer must! But they are also versatile in winters. They look fab, work for day or night and help keep you cool in the summer heat. They are always in serious rotation for me and my closet, especially come summer. Bright solid colours will help make a cool summer statement.
I’m in absolute love with this cobalt flared midi skirt from Stalk Buy Love. I love a midi skirt, especially when it’s made of cool cotton fabric perfect for summer! I paired this with a comfortable checkered shirt from H&M for some vertical summer style. But with a quick switch, this look can be slightly altered and worn so many ways. You may wear it with crop and fitted tops and fuzzy sweaters in winters. I was confident that the colour combination of the outfit would stand out.
Skirts of this volume and length have a tendency to make me look shorter hence I rather chose a pair of heels than keds although, I think a midi cotton skirt can pair perfectly with keds for a casual, weekend look. Read on for a quick when and where you can wear Midi Skirts.
When & Where:
Shopping – Skirts are perfect for long shopping days. If you are a person who can do all day in heels, go for low block heel sandals, but switch them out for ballet flats so you can be comfortable on your feet.
The Office – Depending on how dressy your office is, you could totally wear this to work! Since you’re wearing a shirt, no skin is showing so you’re good. Switch out cobalt for neutral colors and swap the heel for a pump! You could also add a blazer to match.
Travelling – I love to wander in skirts when I’m traveling and spending the day on my feet. Wear cotton biker shorts under your skirt to keep from chafing, and switch heels to sneakers for all day comfort. Pair them up with jackets as well!
Date Night – Hot date? Drinks with your girlfriends? Leave this look as is or pair this skirt with a crop top and take it out for a twirl. You might want to bright a light cardigan or light jacket for that evening breeze!
