Hello my angels, hope you all are doing something great over the weekend. I’m super excited to discuss about today’s post and also a series of subsequent posts. Those of you who have read my previous blog, must remember how excited I am, now that the festive season is on and the countdown for Durga Puja has begun. The air even far away from home, in Delhi, is already filled with festivity & colour, vibrancy & excitement. For all my non Bengali peeps, Durga Puja in Bengal is a really BIG deal & I mean every bit of it.
With the festivities all set to begin, I am sure that each one of you is busy shopping as you want to look your best because hey it’s Pujo and it’s going to be fashion galore on the streets! Whatever your personal style preference may be, contemporary or ethnic, it’s this time of the year you don’t leave any stones unturned to look your best. So here I am helping you out with the shopping by giving you outfit ideas for the 5 days of Puja! Yay!
This year it’s all about making a statement with bold colours and cuts. Opt for vibrant colours such as red, gold, white, orange, fuchsia pink if you want to indulge yourself in the festive mood. I’m wearing this beautiful golden yellow ethnic skater dress from Jabong. The fabric is soft & doesn’t stick to the body. The bold print and dash of colours on the fabric feels so festive and works wonders if you want to get photographed. And of course it’s a head turner.
I’ve paired it up with chandelier earrings and and a pair of bright jootis. You can totally rock such an outfit with boots or heels if you are comfortable. I’m totally in love with how the outfit looks. It’s ethnic, chic and oh so festive. Hope you guys love the outfit and the pictures as I thoroughly enjoyed making them.
Stay tuned for Chapter 2 of Festive Outfit Ideas for Maha Shaptami!
