Trend Alert: Play Cool in Chambray

Hi all, how’s it going for you? Today’s post is as casual and comfy as it can get. I’m writing about the classic Chambray shirt which I feel everybody needs in their closet. Please note, that denim and Chambray are two different kinds of fabric although they might look very similar. While both the fabrics are constructed in more or less the same way, denims are thicker and heavier.

The list can go on, on ways to style a Chambray, it all depends on your mood. So as I was extremely lazy over the weekend I chose the easiest way to wear the Chambray that is to layer it up with a simple black slip dress.

I just love the way the blue looks on basic black, its simple and so cool. It cannot get more basic and comfortable beyond this. Also kept myself clean of any accessories and put my favourite blue sandals on. You may choose to wear bangles, coin necklaces and a hat as per your choice of accessories.

A Chambray shirt can be a bold addition to your wardrobe because of its versatility. You can wear it with a black bottoms, denims, pencil skirt and even with a pair of trousers. Chambray shirts layer very well and can be worn with camisoles or with a jacket on top of them. For cooler nights your Chambray is a great way to keep yourself warm in a strapless or sleeveless piece.

So now that you know of several ways to style a Chambray, what are you waiting for.. go and grab one right away!

What I Wore:

Chambray Shirt: Local Flea Market

Slip Dress: H&M

Sandals: Westside

Hope you guys enjoyed this post and would definitely add the Chambray shirt to your closet. Also, this would be my last post ahead of my vacation. I am travelling to one of the remotest regions of the world and will be completely away from any mode of communication. However, I’ve planned several exciting posts which will float once am back..till then love and I’ll see you guys soon! Cheers!
